Madame Marissa wanted to get this slave to learn that she was not a regular mistress. He was testing her and she could tell. Madame Marissa and her friend madame Madison were conned by this guy so they hunted him and when they found him, they made him regret conning them. He was getting a taste of his own medicine.
Madame Marissa does not punish her slave often. She leaves that for when he has messed up big time. That is because when she punishes her slave, she does it thoroughly.
